Sadly one of the trainees left early this morning to return home. Stephen is flying home to Maryland today. He is the first trainee to leave so far this summer and I think that he has been here about 7 weeks. He will be missed by everyone here. We had something of a goodbye party for him on Wednesday since Thursday wouldn't be good because he was leaving so early on Friday morning. On Wednesday evening we all went bowling at a place just down the street from our dorm. They had two bowling lanes and the rest of the place was a restaurant/bar. There were a few people who hadn't ever bowled before so it was a lot of fun helping them learn.
On Stephen's last night in Košice, Thursday night, he did what he has done almost every night, cooked a huge meal. This meal was even larger than his normal meals because he was trying to finish everything that he had in the fridge. I think that almost everyone joined in the meal and it was really good! We had steaks that were marinated in various things, homemade hamburgers, hotdogs, rice with yogurt in it and other things. We will really miss his interesting and tasty concoctions.
