Burgers
Since our cook, Stephen, is no longer around we are all at a loss for what and how to make dinner. We solved this problem last night by ordering burgers. A couple of weeks ago Danielle's co-workers ordered burgers from a hamburger delivery place for their lunch. They gave Danielle the menu so that she could bring it back to the dorm and all of the IAESTE trainees could order sometime. Everyone picked out their burgers last night and we collected the money but when it came time to order we had no one who could speak Slovak and order over the telephone. We knocked on other doors along the hall to see if any of the other Slovak students were there. Finally someone arrived. We asked him to help us order but he said that he didn't speak Slovak well because he was from Germany but that his friend would be there soon. His friend came and he order not only for us but also ordered a burger for himself. The delivery people didn't say when the burgers would come so we just waited and waited and waited. Everyone was starving! After about an hour and a half the delivery guy came. We found out that there are usually a lot of people ordering in the evenings and they only have a couple of cars so it often takes a long time. The hamburgers were excellent though. They were huge... the biggest burgers that I have ever seen! They were also pretty inexpensive, only about 2 euros each. We were so hungry that we didn't stop to take pictures. I finished the whole burger, which is saying something, and some fries.
