On Monday it was very hot and humid so Martin and I decided to try the local waterpark. Danielle had found the website for this waterpark and sent it to us. She had wanted to go but had to work later. Maria also wanted to go but she also had to work later.
We took the number 12 bus directly from the University to the Triton stop right in front of the park. The ticket to get in was only 2 Euros per person after 4 pm. We tried to ask the woman about lockers when we were buying the tickets but she didn't speak English very well so she couldn't explain it to us. We went in and got changed and then looked around for the lockers. We didn't see them anywhere so we asked a lifeguard. He didn't speak much English either so he went to find someone who did. The woman he found told us that at one of the beer stands you can pay 5 euros to put your things in a very small locker and then when you come and get your things out and return the key, you get 4 euros back. We put our valuables in the small locked box and then took our bags with clothes and towels with us.
There was a grassy hill where people were sun bathing and laying out their towels so we left our stuff there. First we checked out the pools. There were three pools: one that was very shallow and had a jungle gym with small slides and fountain, one with a place roped off for jumping in and basketball hoops, and one with a place to sit and relax. We tried the two deeper pools. They were nice and warm. After a bit we decided to try the waterslides. There was one curving slide that was very slow and then four very fast slides that just went straight down without turning. These four slides were really fun and there was never a line for them. We went down and number of times.
At 6pm the slides closed so we went back to warm up a bit in the other pools and then took showers and headed home.
